 Human's natural desire is a beautiful and healthy life. Health is wealth.  In personal life, in family life, in national life, a fit body opens the door to gain strength and prosperity - a beautiful forehead marks the victory of success in the country.  On the other hand, sick and weak people are deprived of all the joys of life.

 Sports is a part of physical exercise. Sports involves body movement. It gradually increases the physical skills of people. Also, sports are a source of endless joy.  The joy of play cannot be found anywhere else. Those who are sick and weak are deprived of this joy and are even defeated step by step in the battle of life. This is why it is said - "I want ball, I want health, joy is bright, courage is broad chest".

 Origin and Types of Sports:-

 It is believed that wrestling first originated in ancient Iraq about 6,000 years ago.  Fisting, Aussie fighting, running and jumping etc. games were also popular at that time.  These sports originated to make the body healthy and strong.

 Hunting was introduced in Egypt around 3000 BC and hockey was first introduced around 2000 BC.  Although sports were considered an exercise in body building, wrestling competitions were held in Rome as early as 250 BC.  Even before that, the Olympic games started in ancient Greece.

 Sports can be mainly divided into 2 categories.  Namely:

 Indoor games means indoor sports.  For example, exercise, table tennis, carrom, chess etc.

 Outdoor games means games that have to be played in the field.  For example, football, cricket, kabaddi, running, jumping etc.

 Nature of Sports:


 We must know the real nature of what we call sports in simple terms.  Here the word dust is added to the game.  That is, there is contact with dust with the game.

 Sports are the games played in the open air under the open sky in the open wilderness of nature.  For example – football, cricket, running, jumping, tennis, etc.  Current mobile games have many harmful effects so it is necessary to choose the game according to the nature of the game.


 Sports Benefits:

 A healthy strong mind prevails in a healthy strong body. In a sick body, the mind and body become tired as the effort decreases. In a healthy strong body, strong energy prevails, the mind has the power to win, immense enthusiasm and enthusiasm.


 One has to work hard to achieve success in life, so the need for sports is immense to keep the mind and body healthy.  Sports means exercise and regular exercise can keep the body healthy for a long time.

 Sports are not only good for physical health.  Sports also have a special contribution in protecting mental health.  Sports relieves the fatigue of the body, the mind is lively.  Mental health is easily achieved if the body is healthy.  Mental state improves as brain performance increases.

 A habit of sports from childhood helps a person to be cheerful all the time.  Those who do not do sports, keep themselves confined in their house, they suffer from various mental problems.  One of which is depression and moodiness.

 Some of them are not able to mix properly with the people due to which various abnormalities are observed in them.  Therefore, besides having a healthy body, sports also play a role in achieving a healthy mind.


 Sports and Character Building:

 We all have a hypnotic attraction towards sports. A person who loves to play has no narrowness in his mind. Discipline is necessary to achieve success in any sport, so discipline is born through sports.

 Sports not only shape the body, but also shape the character.  A player's attitude is built through the dust of the game.  The initial development of the male spirit takes place on the field of play – called Sportsman-like-spirit.


 Sports in school life:

 In today's sports age, the burden of books is pressed on the child's shoulders in childhood.

 Sports in International Harmony:

 Since ancient times, sports have been used as one of the means of establishing international relations.  Inter-state competitions help in establishing good relations between different nations.

 Sports is an internationally recognized medium.  As a result, international harmony and brotherhood is achieved with its help.  One country goes to another country to participate in various sports competitions.  As a result, in addition to the exchange of mutual feelings between one country and another country, the diplomatic relations between them also become stronger. Forgetting mutual conflicts and quarrels, they became involved in an alliance.  Therefore, the role of sports in international bridging is very high.


 Standards of Sportsmanship:

 The quality of game dust is increasing day by day.  Every player is constantly busy improving himself.  New players are breaking old records every year.  Every country and government is now aware of this.  Today, sports are considered as the mirror of the progress of the country and nation.


 Negative aspects of sports:

 There is no harm in regular sports.  But it is also true that anything in excess will bring us bad things.  Many people's health can break down in excessive sports, without eating nutritious food, excessive sports weakens the body even more.


 Sports such as football, kabaddi, wrestling, etc. sometimes pose serious risks.  There is also a record of death in this kind of sport in the world.  Sports can cause serious damage to a person with heart disease.  Too much time is wasted in extra sports.  Which hinders the development of normal comfort of life.

 Extra sports waste time as well as money and effort.  Because of sports, many people sometimes have a radical attitude, resulting in violence and confrontational attitude towards the players and supporters of other countries or teams.  Which is never desirable.


 Conclusion:

 Sports strengthens the human mind and body.  There is no substitute for a healthy mind and body to live well.  Sports improve both of our things.  Sports are also very important in creating order, brotherhood, harmony.
